there are 10 velocity curves (again nothing about this anywhere but they've confirmed this is the case - looking at the manual, see below, it looks like you can just set the velocity from 1-10 rather than separate named velocity curves) the keybed is the Fatar TP100LR (couldn't see this officially anywhere so got written confirmation from Arturia) !! So in that sense it's like the Akai MPK88. ![]() ![]() So basically it seems to be a 88 weighted keyboard WITH aftertouch like the studiologics but unlike them it actually has a bunch of sliders etc. So I contacted Arturia and I can share with you what I've learnt, incase anyone here is interested (or in the future someone looking for reviews like me, can find a thread dedicated to it!). You can find a few youtube brief demos on it at hardware festivals etc (sorry I don't have links but easy to find) and that's about it. ![]() Unfortunately there aren't any reviews of this thing by anyone, anywhere, so I thought I'd try and find out as much as I can about it. but someone on gearslutz very helpfully mentioned the Keylab 88. I've also been looking for something light enough to pull out from under my display shelf on my DAW desk (so that rules out the Akai). ![]() So far I've not been able to find much, except for some studiologics and the Akai MPK88. I've been looking (and still am looking) for a 73-88key MIDI controller with a more piano-like action (i.e. I'm forever asking Qs so hopefully this is my first attempt at giving something back to gearslutz!
